FAQs

Q?

Can I just have you shoot video of my event without editing?

A.

Of course! We can cover your event and simply transfer the video files to your hard drive or even burn the raw footage to BluRay or DVD.

Q?

How does the whole process work?

A.

The first step in the process is meeting with the client to pick their brains. Tell us what you'd like. If you're not sure, we can brainstorm together. Next, we develop a script and storyboard that we present for approval. Once we have all the tweaks made we can schedule the shoot date, location and talent. The more organized we are here, the smoother the shoot will be. After we have all the footage, then comes the magic of editing. We then present the video for approval or revisions. The first round of revisions is always included at no charge. Once we have final approval, the finished piece is ready for television, your website, YouTube and the world!

Q?

How long does it take to receive the finished product?

A.

Generally we can have a production completed in about a week's time...often sooner.

Q?

Do you provide hair and makeup services?

A.

We leave that to the professionals! We do carry basic powder to help fight any "shine" that may pop up during the shoot, but we're sure you wouldn't want us doing any more than that. We have very talented professional hair and makeup artists that we can recommend who do amazing work.

Q?

Do you provide duplication service?

A.

Yes! We can duplicate your DVDs and print your custom designed artwork directly on the disk for a very professional look.

We provide paper sleeves or clear jewel cases with our duplication service. If you would like custom disk jackets, wallets or cases, we farm that out to a company that does fantastic work at a very affordable price. (Minimum quantities required)

Q?

How long will the shoot take?

A.

Good question! That really all depends on how involved the shoot is. Often times we need to rearrange the area where the shoot takes place to make room for all the gear and ensure the shots look great through the camera lens. Lighting is also a consideration and takes some time to get right.

Another consideration is the performance of the on-camera talent. Some people are naturally comfortable in front of the camera and need only a couple takes to nail their lines. Other people, not so much! If this is a concern, you may want to consider the addition of a teleprompter to the shoot. Teleprompters give an added boost of confidence to the speaker, help with remembering the script, and can really speed the shoot along.

Q?

How much does a production cost?

A.

Again, this depends on several factors. For a videographer to simply record an event, we have a $250 two hour minimum. A half day shoot (up to four hours) is $500 while a full day (up to eight hours) will cost $1000. Additionally, there is a charge for editing which is also very dependent upon what the client is looking for. If the production calls for DVD or BluRay authoring, there is an additional charge for this as well, and again, depending on how customized and involved the menus are, the cost will vary.
